About Alfa

Alfa was founded in 1994 under the original name Cellis and is owned by the Lebanese government. The company was managed by Orascom Telecom from 2009 until operations were transferred back to the Lebanese government in September 2020.

Alfa was the pioneer in launching advanced mobile technologies in Lebanon, including the first 3G+ service in October 2011 and subsequent 4G LTE and 4G+ LTE-A deployments. The company is headquartered in Beirut and competes directly with Touch for the Lebanese mobile market.

Alfa SIM cards are available for USD 6 at retail locations. Products with less than 500 MB data do not have access to the LTE network.
